Overview
About Me
Hi! I'm a science renegade who was offered a PhD and decided to run away. So I've embarked in that cliché of a journey that people call find myself. I would describe myself as a friendly person, easy going and fun, although whether I overuse sarcasm is still a matter of discussion. I know a little bit of many things and not much of anything, but I’m always willing to expand my knowledge, and I’m yet to find another better way of learning than to share experiences with new people.
I’m gay, so if you can’t stand rainbows don’t contact me to stay in my home, cause I have an aesthetical style to maintain and homophobia doesn’t match my carpet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was introduced to this website by my mother, with whom I’ve been exchanging houses and hosting people since I was five. I’m here to repay my dues with this community and start adventures of my own. In addition, and as cheesy as it sounds, I’m one of those delusional people who think that you can change the world by spreading love and kindness, so I’m here trying my best.
Interests
I like all kinds of artistic expression, both as creator and spectator. I sometimes draw and write. I consider myself a creative person and sometimes apply that to my cooking, which usually works out well, except if it’s some kind of pastries, if I tell you that I’m doing pastries you should be worried.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love almost any type of music although I gravitate more towards indie and pop rock. In terms of cinematography I have had an affair or two with Almodóvar, Tim Burton, Lars von Trier, Studio Ghibli… but all of them were complicated relationships so now I’m more into series: from Parks and Recreation to Game of Thrones, The Handmaid’s Tale and Pose, I watch everything I can from my boyfriend’s Netflix account. I like reading in general but lately I’ve been reading a lot of Amélie Nothomb and trying to get more into poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was two I was bitten by an ostrich, which led me to develop useless superpowers such as super irrational fears, extreme obnoxiousness and an incurable ability for self-deception. True story, I have a picture that proves it!

What I Can Share with Hosts
I have quite a few stories to share, two big ears and an open mind, a lot of love and if you like taking risks I could cook a meal for you :D I've done vegan meals, paleo, lactose free, gluten free,... and as a picky eater myself I can work around almost any food you dislike or are allergic to!
I also don't mind helping in the duties of the host's house as much as I can.
