Hi, my name is Chao Ping Lai and I'm a greenhorn to couchsurfing! I got recommended by a friend and hope to try out couchsurfing to see what it's like. Currently I'm studying Japanese culture as an undergraduate at Hokkaido University under the MJSP program. Hope to use couchsurfing to meet new people and experience cities and towns from the perspective of locals instead of a mere tourist.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Competed multiple times in state and national level in "Japan Bowl" a Japanese Language and Culture competition, placed 1st and 2nd in state and 3rd in national level.

Teach, Learn, Share

Happy to teach some basic English and Chinese to those interested. I also have experience teaching saxophone if there is interest. Know my way around a computer and electronics. Willing to learn anything thrown at me as long as it's interesting! I can share my experience; plenty of stories to go around, I can cook too if there is adequate equipment.
