About Me
Howdy! I'm a sophomore in University in the Austin, Tx area. I absolutely love anything and everything about cultures, languages, and of course, travel!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to experience meeting people in this way whilst traveling. Social interaction is one of the best things in the world to me, so being able to visit with strangers and vice versa seems like a great activity! I am not accepting guests because of my current roommate situation. But as of August 2015 I will be accepting guests ^ ^
Interests
Design, architecture, photography, dance, philosophy, singing, reading, running, cooking, self-help.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: All over the globe! Love Hindi/bollywood, arabic indie, french pop, classic italian hits, jpop, kpop, russian pop, and Spanish pop. I don't understand a lot of these languages, which makes me appreciate the music even more!
Movies: The Green Mile, Amelie, White Chicks, Inception, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, 1 liter of tears, Sunny, The Dark Knight.
Books: The Little Prince, The Solitaire Mystery, The Great Gatsby, The Cellist of Sarajevo, A Fine Line, and anything Dan Brown, Khaled Hosseini, or Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moving to NYC to start a high stress job shortly after battling illness (supposed to be life-long) on my own straight after college. Not FUN, but amazing. I wouldn't have found my deep love to health and medicine otherwise.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
-Japanese or Spanish lessons, mannerisms
-Holistic nutrition, herbal medicine (ayurveda or Traditional Chinese Medicine), hormonal imbalance strategies
Learn:
-Anything to do with health or medicine
-Jewelry or watchmaking
-How to make better youtube videos
-Cultural exchange or language circle
Share:
-Life Philosophies on any subject (except politics)
-nutritious foods (mediterránean, nordic, slavic, or indian)
-Ways to make life more fun and simple
-Amazing life-changing books!
What I Can Share with Hosts
A new friend to talk with and try fun stuff with. I love getting to know people, discussing anything from trivial to deep-life convos. I would be happy to take my host out to eat and get coffee or drinks on a regular basis. Maybe the host has an activity none of their friends wants to try with them, I'm down for a lot of things! OF COURSE, cleaning and any other house projects, I would be more than happy to help with!
