About Me

I'm a college graduate that has been making my living traveling to where ever I can find work. I am blessed to say that I get to do what I love as a career and am using my college degree to its fullest. Not to mention who wouldn't want to play make believe as a profession? My job is so fun! So far I have worked in three different states in the past year and have enjoyed every step of my journey to date. I'm often that guy who can't get his errands done without making a new friend in the Peanut Butter Isle because we had to stop and comment on JIF vs. Peter Pan. I'd talk the leg off of a chair if you'd let me. I'm also the kind of person that doesn't sweat the small stuff. I go through my life taking every experience as a gift-of-the-day and allow it to mold around me. I don't necessarily know what I want all the time, but I don't let it stop me from having a great time with what I do know I want. Carpe-diem!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because my job takes me on the road a lot I haven't been able to justify settling down anywhere just yet. I have always had a place to live upon arrival to my gig which has made my travels very cozy and accommodating, but my nomadic nature has spilled over into my personal life and I have accidentally turned my personal car into my home. Although I still hold a permanent address in OH with my parents, everything I need can fit in my car and go with me everywhere.

As much as I love Ohio and all of the people I know in it I also love the thrill of the unknown. I try to live life as spontaneously and adventurous as possible. I have this gut-feeling that when I'm not working, or focused on something professionally, I should be trying to take a step closer to something I don't understand. And what better way than seeing something new, meeting someone new, or trying something new. I've always felt like I never wanted to be the best at something; I've always wanted their to be just enough of a margin that I can keep learning. I may not be in school anymore (nor do I ever really want to go back) but I refuse to stop learning.

My first and only tattoo (so far):
"Sometimes it's necessary to go a long distance out of the way in order to come back a short distance correctly."
A quote from Edward Albee's play "The Zoo Story."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't say amazing, but it is Spectacular! And that is that I have worked with the Radio City Rockettes on their Radio City Christmas Spectacular for 2 years now as their Stage Management Production Assistant.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have taught many people how to weave hemp in necklaces, bracelets and anklets. I also love cooking in a group and sharing advise and specialties. I'm always interested in sharing stories with those who will listen as well as hearing other people's stories of how they got to where they are. I've never been great at reading research or memorizing facts, but I feel that I have learned the most from the people in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories of what it's like to live life as a vagabond as well as what it's like to work backstage on a life production. Being as young as a I am and as sporadically employed as I am, I often try to spend as much of my off-time with people (new or old friends). I enjoy places, and things as much as the next guy, but I like learning through the human experience.
