Overview
About Me
At the age of 18 I left India for Dubai where I spent 4 years. Returned back for a year where I learnt German, worked at a company and later taught Mathematics at an NGO for slum children. Then came to the Netherlands for my Masters, to sport and travel.
Currently working for the University of Eindhoven as a Design Engineer in the Automotive field. Basically helping people realize their dreams through technology.
Already started ticking off things on my bucket list. Next stop, San Fermin festival in Pamplona
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to travel a lot and usually stay in hostels or at friends'. Was always curious about Cuchsurfing and since I expect people to host me, the least I can do is to return the favor :)
I like being a host and I believe everybody's lives are full of interesting stories and I would like to hear as many as possible.
Interests
When I am not working, I do Judo, Bootcamp, sometimes train my friends in cross-fit and also go for long obstacle races.
Usually I like to go running and meditating in places surrounded by nature. There is a beautiful lake just outside Eindhoven where I spend a lot of time on Sundays.
I love sharing ideas and have honest, open conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Alchemist, A Thousand Splendid Suns, Stieg Larsson's books, the Hobbit, Honeymoon with my Brother (reading currently). Many others and do not have a fixed genre. Depends on my mood. Would prefer a book anytime than TV
Movies: Stupid comedy movies like Jackie Chan, Bollywood, Police Academy, British movies like Lock Stock..., At world's end. Actually did a "At World's end-Eindhoven" with some friends after the movie.
Also like extremely engaging movies like Inception, 12 Angry men, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, etc.
Shows: Friends, Modern Family, Three's Company. Don't start other shows as I can get easily addicted and miss out on life
Music: Classic Rock, post-rock, ballads, old bollywood. Love going to random concerts like Greek, Colombian, Icelandic. My favorite random concert: Sigur Ros in Amsterdam.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled the highest motorable road in the world (18,380 feet) just on a scooter ! Was more stupid than amazing but hey I am alive !
Teach, Learn, Share
Like to learn: Something special you can do
Teach: Drink beer while standing on your head (Adult supervision required ;) )
Share: Cooking definitely, Fitness tips and ideas (any ideas)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Eindhoven as a city is beautiful and lively. Neighboring cities like Tilburg and Utrecht are fun. Personally, I love Delft and since I have lived in the Netherlands for 3.5 years, I would be more than happy to show you around.
Off course I will cook some Indian food and would love to learn your cooking style. Maybe we can fuse it together and create something awesome !
And yeah, it would be nice if you can get some sports shoes if you want to stay. Would definitely take you outdoors for some physical activities.
