I'm a 24 year old girl from Iceland who loves to travel all over the world and meet new people.

I'm an easy going person, always in a good mood and happy.
I've backpacked around the world twice before and still got heaps more to go!

I do have a busy working schedule and pretty busy life overall but still I would like to help out some couchsurfers who need a place to stay.
I get a lot of requests so I can only accept the ones that work around my work shifts and busy days :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had such a wonderful experience staying with locals when traveling (not always through couchsurfing though) and hosted a few travelers when I'm not traveling myself :)

I really want to give back that good experience to people visiting Iceland, even if it's just a place to crash for the night.
I do my best to let my guests experience Iceland at its best and being a local I know all the local stuff!

Interests

I have many interests, pretty much everything that is entertaining.

First of all I love to travel. I would spend my whole life traveling if I only I had the money haha.

Food is also on my top list. I love to cook and eat good food and especially to try out some local food in other countries.

Other hobbies are to stay active and healthy. I go to the gym, love all outdoor activities, surfing, fishing, camping, hiking and just being in the nature.

I have to admit the sun is one of my interests hah...chilling in the sun, getting tanned and enjoying the beach put a big smile on my face and warmth in my heart. Maybe because we don't have a beach and many hot, sunny days in Iceland...maybe.

I also love all kind of extreme sports. I grew up going on snow mobile trips to the glaciers, riding dirt bikes, quad biking, superjeep tours in the mountains and so on.
I really loved skydiving in NZ.

Other interests are just the basics...movies, music and friends :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Love all kinds of music but especially old rock. Bands such as Deep Purple, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Queen, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, Muse and such are my favourites along with Elvis, Johnny Cash, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel, Leonard Cohen and many others. I also love Icelandic music, we have a lot of great bands and artists.

I am a big Lord Of The Rings fan so I love the books and the movies. Other movies would be Inception, The Bucket List, The Shawshank Redemption, The Intouchables, The Hangover, Django Unchained and lots of others. I love to watch movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being inside the steaming crater of the Eyjafjallajökull glacier after it erupted was quite an amazing experience. Also seeing Angkor Wat in Cambodia, skydiving in New Zealand, hiking Mt. Taupo, giving alms to the monks in Laos, staying with locals in the mountains by the Mekong river and experience the day of silence in Bali. I can't choose one thing, I think everything in life is amazing if you know how to appreciate it :)

I can share stories, experience and a good time. I can teach you Icelandic and everything about Iceland.
