I'm married and have one adult child. I've been a registered nurse for over 30 years and have tried many kinds of nursing, but have been a school nurse for the past 20 or so years. I have a avid love for travel and meeting new people, therefore I'm always planning my next adventure.

I'm on couchsurfing because I have two friends who has used it, and their enthusiasm for the program peaked my curiosity. After hearing about the wonderful experiences they have had, I felt that it might be the next step for me to further enhance my travel adventures and meet new interesting people.

I love all kinds of music except for hard rock and rap. I'm an avid reader and enjoy all kinds of books, fiction as well as nonfiction. My favorite movie is The Way.

I hiked the Camino de Santiago from St. Jean Pied de Port, France to Santiago, Spain in 2013. It was a total of approximately 500 miles in 35 days, and I am now able to say that I walked across a country. It was an amazing experience I will never forget, from the spectacular scenery and being outdoors, to enjoying wonderful food, and meeting interesting people from all over the world, several of whom I still remain in contact with.

I've taught conversational English twice in Spain and really enjoyed meeting local people and interacting with them in a way you normally can't when traveling.
