Chi sono

I'm a 29 y.o. Brazilian guy from Rio. I'm currently taking a Masters degree so I'll be living in my hometown at least for the next two years.

In 2011 I spent seven months in France for an exchange program, and got to see some of the most beautiful and interesting places in Europe. Since that opportunity travelling has been a big part of me.

As a couchsurfer, I have had some amazing experiences so far. The first time I tried it, in 2015, I travelled with my friend Yani through some countries in Europe during summer. We managed to find really nice, incredible people in our way, from Barcelona, to Paris, Brussels, Cracow and also Vienna.

Later in that year I travelled with another couchsurfer friend, Paula, to San Pedro de Atacama, the Chilean desert region. It was a fantastic trip and we were lucky to find a local host and experience staying in one of the traditional houses of the village. In 2016, we also explored around Portugal counting on some good friends and their couches.

Recently I've been in Africa for the first time to attend the wedding of a great friend. She's German and married a guy from Gambia. It was a very unique experience to be part of an African celebration and to witness the way they live always with a smile on their face.

Last time I had the chance to travel was with my best friend Barbara. We went to Croatia and that was probably the trip of our lives!

As a graduated in Journalism and Publishing, I'm currently working as a freelance for Publishing Houses. Besides taking a look around and getting to know new cities and countries, books are one of my passions too. And since I'm a freelance, I get to work remotely from pretty much anywhere, which suits very well with my travel passion.

I'm looking forward to having new experiences like those in the future and soon I hope to be able to host people in my home city too. Caribbean islands and southeast Asian countries are my next plans. I also want to explore more of Africa and to study in Germany,

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people from different parts of the world and to have new experiences. We only have one life, but I want to live as many lives as I can. And no better way of doing that than travelling and being close to people.

I also find interesting to know more. So everything that comes as a new learning is welcome!
