About Me

We are 2 French Medical Student in the 4th year, who made an Erasmus semester in Romania. On the way to Cluj Napoca, we travelled with interrail pass through Europe. We've been accomadated by couchsurfers living in a primar school of Amsterdam, which was quite we confess. Then we went to Berlin, visit a friend, then Praha and Budapest. It was so hard to stay in a city after that, that's why we decided to move approximately every weekend (or week). We met a lot of extraordinary people, slept in amazing places for almost 9 months. Now, we are once again in Angers to keep on studying, and it's really a pity to stay in the same country. For lack of travelling, we can host ! At least, this way allows us to meet some foreign people.

Louison Chéné : Hi, I'm a saxophonist who plays in a french local group : La Marmite à Roselyne (our website : http://marmitearoselyne.free.fr/). I love chocolate cakes, poetry, kite, nature. Actually I learn any instruments I can : Ukule, Clarinet, Piano... In the summer, I work as organizer in camps.

Julien Dos Santos Alves : hi, I like meet foreign people to exchange about our world'vision, I like longboarding, walk around cities, try new activities, bread fight, every kind of concerts. I really enjoyed to meet couchsurfers who slept in Angers, or Erasmus students. I'm an open-minded and helpful guy.
I'm the one who host, because I truely miss to speak english and to meet foreigners.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

This year, we travelled through Amsterdam, Berlin, Praha, Budapest (many times), Serbia, Macedonia, Greece, Istanbul. We made an Erasmus semester in Cluj (Romania), witch allowed us to travel a lot around that country (and all around). Using couchsurfing and hitchhiking, travelling is so great and easy ! We met people we won't forget and we already miss. As we've been host by amazing people, we think that it's our time to accomodate, mostly because we have so stay (we are in intership in the hospital, no way to go abroad !).

Couchsurfing allows us to meet inhabitants who know the city we visit, and share our travelling with them. We think a trip has to be shared with local population and hotel is not the best way for that.

We've been raised with the idea that every way of life must be respected and could be interesting. We think that the best way to learn is travelling, books can't teach you anything, school can't teach you so much !

We don't need much things to be happy : some people to speak with, a place to sleep without falling sick, and we will do necessary to be pleased with that.

Well, we think that we live in a period in which people tend to get away from each other, maybe because of the "economic crisis" or this kind of thing. On the contrary, we think that the best way to face that and live happy is to share moments with unknown people !

Interests

Music, theater, movies, arts and any kind of culture in fact. We're also interested in medicine, languages, literature and quite pleased by any discovery or understanding of a mechanism or concept.
