Hi, I am Erik Tröger, 19 years old and from Germany. I've just finished HighSchool in Germany and decided to take a break from studying and it worked out pretty well. I am currently working as a unpaid volunteer at PendleHill which is a Quaker conference and meeting center in Wallingford PA (20min away from Philadelphia). Each year thousands of people from many backgrounds around the globe visit Pendle Hill for retreats, conferences or workshops. My position at PendleHill is called "Kitchen and Garden Intern". This implies that I help to prepare meals for our guests and staff and I help with the gardening in our organic gareden. In my leisure time I love to travel, meet new people, and doing sports. I am responsible, opend minded and always kind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking for a way to meet people and travel around the globe that's different from the "normal" way. Furthermore I would love to see as many parts of the US as possible during my gap year ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess the most amazing thing I've done is my current operation. I have never lived in another country, without my family and friends from home until I came to the US.
