About Me
Hey! I'm Caroline, I'm 30, I grew up in the suburbs of Paris and now I live in Geneva , where I moved for work.
I'm a pretty easy going person, I always try to take the good side of life and find the fun in what I do. I believe in the power of being nice, positive and smily. The world is dark enough, no need to be unfriendly on top of that. I love going out, but I also love staying in and watching a movie. Depends on the mood ... :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've really started traveling in the past 6 years and I realized that my best traveling experiences were when hanging out with locals or at least people who really knew the country, every time it totally changed the outcome of the trip.
I also fell in love with this travelers community and its values of sharing, discovering and having fun. And to me Couchsurfing seems to be the perfect combination of all this...
Also, I live in Geneva, which, I know, can seems pretty stern and closed from the outside, but is actually fun and lively, when you know where to go and what to do. So if I can help people enjoying their time here, I'm happy to do so!
Interests
I love spending time with my friends and family.
I love movies and everything related to cinema. I have more of a pop culture though and I still have a lot of things to learn (don't ask me about Godard or old black and white movies, but if you want to talk about Judd Appatow or the Oscars nominations I'm your girl).
I caught the travel bug when I was studying in Mexico and spent pretty much all my weekends exploring the country. Now I'm working full time I try to do weekend getaways in Europe and one or two bigger trips per year. Next destination will probably be Argentina!
Finally, I love cooking and trying out new restaurants or gathering friends around a good meal.
I have other interests obviously, but this is already too long...

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Easy, I listen to all kinds of stuff
Movies: that's an almost impossible question to answer, so I'll try to at least give a short list: Fight Club, Titanic, the City of God, Almost famous, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Cornetto trilogy, Under The Silver Lake.
Books: I love everything written by Jonathan Tropper and I re read the San Francisco Chronicles regularly, I never get tired of these books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Glastonbury festival, which is one of the biggest music and art festivals in the world, and that was simply beautiful. I can't really even describe it here (I'll tell you more if we meet) but I recommend everybody that can go to experience this at least one time in their lives :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help with French I guess, I also know a lot about movies and TV series, but as I was saying above, I have a lot to learn about old movies :)
I'm a marketers and love what I do, I'm especially interested in everything related to social media and innovative ways to do marketing.
I'd be super happy to share tips about cool places to go and fun things to do in Geneva, and other places that I visited. And I want to hear everything about your best trips :)
I learnt Spanish in school, and my spanish was pretty good when I was in Mexico but now it's all rusty so I'd love to practice again!
