We are (Mie 27, Ida 28) a friendly, outgoing and adventurous couple from Copenhagen, Denmark.

OUR TRIP:
We've just arrived in NZ after a 3 weeks travel in Vietnam, and are looking to meet some people from NZ to know more about this amazing country. We have 7 weeks in total here, and after that we go to Sydney and then finish the trip in Nepal. We have been looking forward to this for more than a year and we are super exited to be here. Wuhu!

Auckland is our first stop in New Zealand, and after that it's our plan to work our way down to the bottom of the south island, maybe with a trip up north of Auckland first, all while exploring and learning more about the beauty of this country.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We dream of meeting cool local people - maybe even making friends - and to try and satisfy our curiosity for this country's nature, culture and history.

We are hoping that we can stay with many people of different ages and lifestyles in order to open the opportunity for getting inspired, which we often do in the meeting with others.

Interests

MIE: writing, reading, intercultural understandings and structures, having fun, mind-opening conversations, experiencing nature, human psychology, playing games....having fun!

IDA: photography, parkour, art, graphic design, music and concerts, beer, wine and cooking, physical activities, playing games and having fun! (I had to put the last two in, otherwise it would look like we have no interests in common ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

MIE: I love the writings of Ernest Hemingway, Paul Auster, Helle Helle and more. I also have a thing for fantasy novels. I enjoy science fiction and documentaries, but I also love to watch a nice romantic comedy. Music....whatever Ida li stens to :)

IDA: Film: Nature and wild life + adventure and extreme sports documentaries, and a good drama or action movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As of February 1st, we have quit our jobs, handed over the keys to our apartment and set of for a 3 months travel to Vietnam, NZ, Sydney and Nepal.
