About Me
I'm a 19 year old guy from Australia. I consider myself pretty laid back and definitely open to new experiences in any form they come. "Don't knock it 'til you try it" is how i try to view the world, to avoid making rash judgments on people or things. With all its faults, the world we live in today (at least the west) is the best its ever been. I'm ready to take full advantage of that by seeing as much of the world as i can.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friend Jacob and i are around a week into our first international backpacking trip. Staying in mexico city we met a prolific couchsurfer by the name of Netzhualcoyotl Acevedo. He lives in Red Bluff California most of the time and was in mexico visiting his family. We had never heard of couchsurfing, but after his recommendation it seems right up our alley.
The ability to experience a place without just seeing it from a hostel is such an awesome idea, and to gain insight from someone who lives there is even better.
So my friend and i are on couchsurfing looking for someone who will be able to give us advice, and hopefully someone who is interested in making new friends :)
Interests
My interests are quite broad. In Australia i enjoy catching up with friends for a few drinks, listening to podcasts and reading. Anything to do with nature i will always be interested. I enjoy trying to be extremely open to new ideas and as yet i haven't found one idea that i can all my belief into. I think human history in so old and complex that any idea someone has about what made us into the animals we are today, will always have a flaw in it.

Music, Movies, and Books
I can get into most music, but my favourite genre is probably lyrical folk/soft rock. I've seen too many movies to ever decide on one. The same goes with books but recently i read "breaking open the head" by Daniel Pinchbeck and that book really resonated with me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"Amazing" is a big thing. But attempting to swim in glacier melt underneath one of New Zealand's largest glaciers is at least half amazing and half stupid.
What I Can Share with Hosts
