About Me

Hi! I'm Olivia, you can call me Liv. I'm a spontaneous, happy go lucky, positive, relaxed travel junkie. For the past two years I've been backpacking and relocating around the world. Getting inspired one country at a time. I thrive off of new experiences and new found friendships. I value the unexpectedness of travel and pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

On my recent break at home I started up my own online business selling handmade goods. Aside from backpacking I put my time and energy into fulfilling my passion to create. It's still a work in progress but I think it's an important aspect of my identity! I think that if you have a passion and put the work and care in you can achieve anything.

So Couchsurfing friends, it's nice to meet you and I hope that I can create some memories and share some stories together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Aside from Couchsurfing being an AMAZING platform to meet like minded people, maybe save a few pennies and spare a bed to a traveller in need when I have a couch to offer, I love the opportunity it presents to spread a strangers kindness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing my first mountain! No one told me about the rush you feel when you reach the peak of a mountain after a few solid hours of feeling like death was near. I'll never forget that day and the feeling of accomplishment. Since then I've pushed myself out my boundaries physically and mentally through some climbs. I think it's amazing to explore nature while testing yourself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Here are a few quotes that I find useful to reflect on!

"Don't be afraid to walk alone, don't be afraid to like it."

"Be patient and tough, someday this pain will be useful to you."

" So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun."

"Stay close to anything that makes you glad you are alive"
