Overview
About Me
I'm a humanitarian aid worker who once studied arts. I started painting graffiti when I was 15 and have never stopped since then. Though my profession is working in international development I also try to make a living with tattooing and painting whenever I can, that's why I usually travel around with my kits and tools.
I grew up next to the Basque sea where catching waves is an all time natural thing to do. I also like to spend my time playing capoeira with good friends and when a chance for bungee jumping or skydiving comes around, count me in! I never turn down going out for drinks and some good rock n roll. I'm definitely in if you want to see live music or just jam on the street with a guitar and some drums.
Just an average guy looking to travel and have some fun :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always had a passion for traveling, but I've always done it trying to experience everything that's outside the tour guides. One good way to do so is by staying at some friend's place who lives where I'm travelling to. So couchsurfing is exactly that but staying with friends I still don't know yet!
Interests
Rock n roll, travelling, nightlife, painting, drawing, tattooing, graffitti, capoeira, dancing, playing with kids, the sea, swimming, surf, bungee jumping, adrenaline, music jam sessions, guitar, drums, eating, good food, coffee, reading, writing, debating, and, why not, life itself.
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a huge cinephile like everyone in my family since dad used to be a local movie critic. Musicwise I'm basically up to any kind of music, always depending on the time and mood. But to live music I'm absolutely a rock n roll, ska, reggae, jazz kinda person. And obviously can't forget the pleasure of good flamenco music too. I also love to devour books, but I never seemed to be a strictly novel kind of person and have always loved to dig more into journalist and critical kind of writing (Kapuscinski, Galeano, Chomsky...) Also a great poetry fan, especially when it comes to the Generation of '27.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Meet, hug, and kiss friends and family after long years without seeing them.
Teach, Learn, Share
“Heredé de mis antepasados las ansias de huir. Dicen que mi sangre es europea. Yo siento que cada glóbulo procede de un punto distinto. De cada nación, de cada provincia, de cada isla, accidente, archipiélago, oasis. De cada trozo de tierra o de mar han usurpado algo y así me formaron, condenándome a la eterna búsqueda de un lugar de origen.”
