Overview
About Me
I am 21 and currently studying Education Science at Aarhus University in Denmark.
In May 2015 I finished my final exams of the International Baccalaureate at Steyning Grammar School in England. I lived in England, for two years, and it was an adventure, and in the summer of 2016 I moved into my own place with a dear boarding school friend in Aarhus.
I love experiencing new cultures and meeting people, and asking questions is one of my favourite things! I am very motivated to talk about all kinds of things, and do not shy away from talking about what is important to you, as well as share what is important to me in life. One of my greatest pleasures is talking and laughing - and a pint of Guinness if you've got it!
Life is a learning curve. And I never want to stop learning.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is one of my greatest passions and couchsurfing invites the creation of new friendships, so it combines two of the things dearest to me!
Interests
Anything really!
Reading, listening to music, scuba diving, learning new things, exploring nature, meeting people, doing yoga, the list goes on!
Amateur photography in the woods, fields, by a lake or elsewhere in nature I might find myself, also camping and going to festivals is a great passion of mine - I am a huge fan of the outdoors, and I do my best to preserve it.
Whenever I've got some time to spare I love to sit down with a book, go for a walk in the woods or go for a swim in the ocean (which I am lucky to live only 15 minutes on foot away from), those are the best things I can think of, to relax.
Last summer, I discovered what it's like to go hiking, so I went on a week long trek in North Italy, and it is certainly an interest, I want to pursue further.
Dressing up in funny costumes and looking foolish is great fun, because I love to make people laugh, and if I have a chance to dance and move at the same time, I'll take it!
And I love the sea! And anything that has to do with it, I've started swimming in the winter, which is an amazing feeling once you get into the sauna afterwards ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
I listen to lots of reggae and opera, but also lots of Alabama Shakes, Band of Horses, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, The Kooks, Mumford and Sons, Of Monsters and Men, Kendrick Lamar, Wu-Tang Clan , Ed Sheehan, Sam Smith and looooots more.
Movies:
I like movies based on real events and people such as The Imitation Game, The Theory of Everything, Der Untergang, Gandhi, The Intouchables, Mississippi Burning, Platoon, The King's Speech, The Pianist etc. although I have in later years become very into fantasy and sci-fi like Harry Potter, The Lord of the Ring, The Hobbit and Star Wars - truthfully I'll watch pretty much anything!
Books:
I prefer reading non-fiction books about all topics from science to economics and politics. As with movies I also like reading novels based on true stories and autobiographies, like MAUS by Art Spiegelman (graphic novel), If This is a Man by Primo Levi, The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien and so on.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the summer of 2015, I hitchhiked from Belgium to Denmark in one and a half days. 13 drivers and one night in a tent in a forest near the motorway. That was a neat experience!
Teach, Learn, Share
