Overview
About Me
Hi guys, so Karen and Trev are keen to meet people from overseas who have great stories about there home country and can learn "stuff" about other cultures, as I feel I want to be more educated in the ways of the world. We are fun loving people who are a bit lonely now the kids have flown out of the nest. Karen cuddles her stuffed possum and bear at night for comfort. LOL
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We want to assist backpackers and International travellers with a max 3 night stay to relax, clean linen, sleep in comfortable bed and shower, downstairs is separate to the upstairs living, so you feel like your not intruding on us. We are genuinely caring and kind people who want to make overseas visitors feel welcome in Australia. The Clarence Valley area has a lot to offer as a base to visit the beaches surrounding Grafton. July is great for visitors who want to experience a big country Horse race meeting with the famous Ramorni Cup and Grafton cup. November in the first week, has amazing blooming Jacaranda Trees to admire in full bloom (purple/mauve blossoms)
Interests
We love nature, animals and animal protection are my interests. I guess you could call Karen a tree hugger. Karen and Trevor loves the beach, tennis, snow skiing and adventures. Trev loves beer, smoking and lots of laughs with new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music faves are Bryan Ferry, Pink and rap music. Movies are any comedy, Quentin Tarrentino, 3 weddings and a funeral. Trev likes books that are Non fiction and crime while Karen likes romance novels and autobiographies. Karen also loves the Hilltop Hoods (Aussie band)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Karen and Trevor have been on some amazing holidays in Thailand. Karen just learnt to surf in Jan 2015 (50yrs of age)
Teach, Learn, Share
We love the whole idea on protection of the environment and animal protection, but are not overly active but fully support it. Organisations assisting the animals in any country are great, but especially the Koala protection or tree conservation. We give donations to RSPCA and others but one day would like to travel on the Sea Shepard and help the guys fight the cruel people in this world. But haven't got the time to do that, so I'll keep donating.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good food, laughter, kindness and some good Aussie hospitality that will be memorable.
