Overview
About Me
Well, I am originally german, do live since a couple of years in a small city called Klosterneuburg close to Vienna. Klosterneuburg is located in beautifull nature, so i am lucky to be able to enjoy nature plus Vienna, the city of music and other types of art like acting and painting. During my live i have had lived in several places like Berlin, Strasbourg, Mulhouse, Freiburg. I was always driven by my interest in making new experience, to learn, to exchange.
Now I am running my private praxis in Vienna as a physiotherapist for kids and adults. Plus I am a yogateacher and I am teaching Craniosacral Biodynamics in a 3 years training. My profession always gave me great input and it is still a great joy.
And I am "Soroptimist", member of a worldwide network of working women, who support girls and women in difficult situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to say one of the main purposes of travelling is meeting people to exchange, to learn from each other. To get a taste of daily life. Hotels world wide are quite anonymous.
As a travel I prefer to sit for breakfast in a kitchen, which to belongs to a real person, instead of having breakfast in a sterile "tourist dining hall".
Interests
Friends.
I adore nature.
I do study tibetan buddhism since many years. I am member of Padma ling, a tibetan community, which is running a center close to Bern (CH).
Plus I do enjoy music a lot, like classical music, the opera, plus pop. I like going to the theater, I like to say I almost like any kind of art.

Music, Movies, and Books
As mentioned before, i do like many kinds of music. A piece I am never becoming tired to hear is Keith Jarret´s "The Köln concert".
Books? I am just reading "Helium und Katzengold" by Florian Werner, which contents a story to every single of th 92 elements. It is fun! And I am reading another quite large book from Irina Tweedie. It the diary of a british lady who studied with a sufi master in India in the 60th.
A book I always like to read is Laotse, "Tao te king". And there are some books in my book shelf I really whish to have time to read them. ((-:
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
....maybe my jouney to Tibet and Mount Kailash. I was lucky to see that terrific nature and culture. And - most sadly- i was able to witness the chinese cruelty on people and nature. I could meet tibetan people who were tremendously brave and patient to survive their day to day live overthere. And I could see and and feel how dearly they do miss the Dalai Lama and how much they are waiting for his comeback. As I was home again I wrote about my experience and was able to publish the result in a well renounced radiostation.
