I'm Lukas, 27 y/o, from the beautiful city of Aachen on the border of Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. I'm studying History and English to become a teacher.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I've almost finished my study program and I'm up to see the world and meet some crazy people. Next stop: The US West Coast. I'm travelling with a fellow student of mine. Plans so far: From LA to San Francisco, Portland, Yosemite, Las Vegas and back. We hope to stay with some cool couchsurfing hosts who would like to share some local tips and stories.
I've tried couchsurfing once in Cardiff, UK, and it was an amazing experience to get to know some Welsh culture.
When I am back home I will offer a place in my shared flat for couch surfing in return.

Intereses

A lot of stuff. First, I really like the normal things like cooking with friends, going to the movies, partying in the student's clubs and hanging out on the balcony of my shared flat discussing life and politics.
Second, I like travelling and exploring different mentalities. Each city has got its own charm. So, I'd just plunge in a new world and be fascinated by the city's history and culture.
Third, I've just re-discovered my sportive spirit. I used to play Handball for a long time. But then I became lazy. Since the UK I really liked doing sports again. I've tried Ultimate Frisbee and am now a regular guest at the gym.

Música, películas y libros

Rock-Music, I'm a huge festival fan.
Movies - way to many good ones out there but if you want to discuss the new Game of Thrones episodes or the Hobbit movies, I'm your man.
Books - LotR and a lot of fantasy, some British and American classics, and everything that falls into my hands...
