to give an idea of my personality, a few facts about myself:

I am a self-consistent person, who hasn't any problems with new situations.

I love to work with other people and to communicate. I am sociable, open-minded and I do not have any problems to get in contact with new people.
I love to travel around the world. At the moment I am traveling through Australia as a backpacker.

Couch-surfing has got so many good things to expire.
You can learn about all the small things about a city that you would never find in websites or bookes. You expire a new culture from the inside.
Most travel guides pride themselves on authenticity. There is nothing’s really more authentic than an actual local taking you around.
It's an opportunity to understand the true meaning of generosity and hospitably.
You meet new interesting people and make new friends.
Couchsurfing is most often about cultural exchange. Lots of hosts not only providing a place for a traveler to sleep, most want to get to know you, to learn about you, who you are and where you come from.

All in all it's about learning from other people, which I really like.
