Becouse there is no better way to discover new place than hanging out with local people. It can't be compared to any guide or story.
I've used couchsurfing few times and it was always a lot of fun and new positive experience ;)

Traveling of course! Enjoying music while reading a good book. Riding fixie bike, running - generally beeing active.
