Hi! We are Tanya (Canadian) and Pierre (French) and we've been living in Somoto since August 2014. We had been living in Montreal for a few years when we decided we wanted to experience the culture and way of life of Central America for a while. We were offered a great opportunity to come work in Nicaragua for an NGO, and so here we are in Somoto!

We decided we wanted to start couchsurfing because we've met so many great people that were couchsurfers, either as hosts or as guests, and all of them loved the experience. So we decided to join couchsurfing too and keep meeting all these incredible people from around the world.

As hosts here in Somoto, we would be so happy to help you discover this town we've grown to call home. If you are coming for the canyon, we also know some great guides. In a few months we are planning on traveling in Central and South America, so as guest, we are hoping to keep meeting some great hosts that would like to help us really get to know the places where they live.
