About Me

CURRENT MISSION

“Traveling– It leaves you speechless then turns you into a storyteller”

“You will never be completely at home again, because part of your heart always will be elsewhere. That is the price you pay for the richness of loving and knowing people in more than one place.”

ABOUT ME

My favorite things is to go where I've never been.

I was an Au Pair in the US, more exactly in the San Diego Area. (I lived in Boston before that)
Unfortunately my time in the US is over.:( I'm back in Switzerland and currently studying to become a teacher. I love travelling, so in my last couple of months in the US I tried to see as many new places as possible.

I'm a big sports fan and play Team handball as much as I can. Team Handball is a European sport and not very popular in the US, but I found two great teams and was able to have some great experiences with them. (BTH & LATHC)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friends recommended it to me. It sounded like a great opportunity to meet people and get insider tips of their places.
I tried it out a few times and I had an amazing time. My first experience: I spent the weekend of June 26-28 in Seattle with a great host. I also went to a CS rooftop party that was a lot of fun.
I love to meet new people and see new places. I think there is nothing better than seeing a place with some insider information.

I did an amazing road trip from Phoenix to Salt Lake city seeing a lot of the beautiful nature this country has to offer. I met a girl over couchsurfing, who spontaneously joined me on my trip. If was great to learn about her culture and share this great trip with her.
It was one of the best trips in a long time and I'm positive, that couchsurfing makes the difference!

Interests

Team Handball, dogs, football, soccer, travelling, my friends, meeting new people, having fun.

Team Handball is a very popular sport in Europe, but unfortunately most Americans don´t know about it. There are some clubs in the US and one a year are the US Nationals for Team Handball, but it´s just not that popular - yet!
Here is a little insight of my passion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MimcMH9SSkA
It´s a clip from the last world cup in Quatar. Enjoy!

Music, Movies, and Books

There a lot of good Movies and Books, my favorite Movie right now is the Town and Maze runner.

I watch a lot of shows, my favorite one´s are crime shows, like; Rizzoli & Isles, the listener, NCIS...

I listen to all kinds of music, it really depends on the mood.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Becoming an Au Pair in the US and spend almost two years in this amazing country!

I got to experience a lot of awesome adventures in this time; Skydiving, swimming under a waterfall, learning how to wakeboard, exploring Maui, drinking out of a coconut, learn how to surf, learn about CS, spending countless hours on the beach (including bonfires), playing at the US Nationals 3 times in a row, seeing the Grand Canyon, seeing Antelope Canyon, sleeping on a lake with millions of stars, backcountry camping in Yellowstone... Many more to come!!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm from Switzerland, so I can share my culture and recipes with my hosts. I´m very outgoing and fun. I love to talk, but I can also be quite if I have to.;)
I can´t wait to meet new people.
