Kia Ora! Hey there! My name is Nic, I'm a 34 year old female from New Zealand.
I've lived in Australia for the past 10 years (On tropical islands in the Great Barrier Reef, a mountain and also in the middle of the desert). I enjoy live music, watersports, hiking, camping, nature, watching wildlife, photography, learning about different cultures and am learning how to surf and would like to learn about as many things as possible and i'm a bit of an adrenalin junkie.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Backpacking wouldn't be backpacking without some couch surfing would it? I love meeting people and have heard this is the best way to go when you're on a tight budget, as you can both learn from each other, see how locals truly live and get good advice :)

I believe in equal rights for all and I don't believe that violence can solve anything! Love adrenalin sports (actually all sports), hiking, trying to sing, socializing and meeting new people, playing pool and having a few drinks. Beaches, mountains, sunsets, sunrise, bon fires, camping, autumn leaves, watching movies, dancing and love checking out other peoples creativeness and encourage others to just be themselves.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw the Northern Aurora Lights for 8 hours above my head.
Moraine Lake in Alberta is breathtaking!
Skydived twice and would do it every day if it was cheaper!
Bungy Jumped twice.
Went in a seaplane around the Great Barrier Reef and landed on White Haven Beach.
And many more awesome things :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn as many instruments, skills and languages as possible, but to name a few - guitar, turn tables, Spanish/French, fire twirling, snow boarding, glass blowing, jet skiing, motorbike riding, dancing...

I will share my laughter, positivity and happiness with the household.
I can teach you English, some basic Maori and some things about NZ and other places that I've been to.
Sorry I can't offer you a couch to sleep on at mine because I don't have a home yet as I'm a free-spirited traveller.
I'm happy to buy you a drink or dinner (unless you're fine with my cooking - toasted sandwiches or an average stir-fry or pasta) to show my appreciation.
I'm also happy to help around the house... I've been working in hotels for the past 4 years and I like to keep things clean and tidy.
I can also look after pets (unless you have a tarantula, then it's a no-deal haha).
I will always respect your rules and privacy.
