Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have no problem with people who surf just to save money, but for me it's more about getting insight into a place. If I'm staying somewhere it's because it's a place I want to be, not just a stopover. Likewise, when I host I'm always happy to show my guests around, make them feel at home, and take them out with my friends, but I'm cool with anyone who just needs a place to crash.
