About Me

Ahoy,
I'm an (at the time of writing this) 26 years old philosophy student with a weakness for strange adventures and tall tales. One of my passions is listening to and discovering new music. Though I have a guitar I'm really not that good at playing it. I enjoy getting lost and then ending up somewhere unexpected.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One of my friends introduced me to couchsurfing and told me of the crazy times he had using this network. I'm interested in following in the footsteps of many and having a good time.

I also have a couch that you're welcome to crash on.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a punk at heart but there's something enjoyable in most genres. Sure, that's a bit of a cliché but I've found it to be true. You could say I'm kind of a picky listener though. While I've found enjoyable things in most genres I also find that you have to wade through a lot of crap to get there occasionally. Some of my favourite artists/bands are Janelle Monáe, Refused, TSOL, Black Flag, the Dreadnoughts, OutKast, Talco and Tech N9ne.

I'll generally enjoy any type of music that makes me feel someting. Bonus points if it's energetic.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend and I started a thing at Ruhrpott Rodeo festival in 2015. We drunkenly yelled Schnabeltier (= platypus in German) and it caught on. I was asked a year later if I'm "the Schnabeltier" guy but there were many that year.

Teach, Learn, Share

It wasn't a bad idea if you had fun or learned something.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My company, good times. Discussions on life, fun and matters both relevant and irrelevant (but fun!). I can cook and help you clean if wanted. I'm also always up for exchanging interesting music and I'd love to get to know local acts from your country.
