I am a computer scientist who enjoys reading, tea, good music and travelling a bit more than I should. I am known as a sarcastic person with great inner calm. Have a weakness for sweaters, patterns and baking. If we meet, we will most probably bake and eat cake together. I really enjoy walking with people and recently I am getting paid to do just that! There more benefits to walking than you might have known. I enjoy meeting new people and listening to their stories. Usually, I am the listener in conversations (I am very good at it), but I have my own story to tell, too.
Currently, I am a Master's student of Applied Computer Science, mostly working with Serious Games and Mobile Technologies. Besides Albanian, English and German, we might actually share some programming languages too.

I am homesick for places I have never been to and I travel to cure it. I am interested in knowing more about the culture and history of places rather than just see all the beautiful landscapes, and the best way to do that is to stay with the locals by sharing a room or meal.
I currently live in a single-bed student dorm which prohibits me from hosting, but I am available for meeting new people visiting Gjøvik and Norway and showing them around.

Don't ask me about music, please! I can be such an addict! I've always been known as a very crazy Beatles fan (I know all of their songs), but right now Hozier is my only cup of tea. Other very favorite performers include: The incredible Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, Placebo, Yann Tiersen, Ólafur Arnalds, Sigur Rós, Arctic Monkeys and Elvis Presley, of course. I also listen to classical music where Chopin is my all-time favorite.

I am a 'hardcore' reader with way too many great books read to mention. Just to give some hints, I really enjoy reading crime books and detective stories. I am most definitely a Sherlock Holmes freak, but I find Steig Larsson and his Girl with the Dragon Tatoo astounding too. Science fiction with Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy comes second. If you want to know the meaning of Life, Universe and Everything, I am the person to ask! Dostoevski, Kadare, Kundera, Kafka and Camus come right after. Currently reading Blindness by José Saramago. You might sense that I have a strong taste for dark, mysterious and hard-to-decrypt books and music.

As of movies and TV series, crime (as you might have guessed), science fiction and comedy are my favorite genres. Sherlock Holmes, LOTR, The Hobbit, Star Wars, Hannibal, Memento, The Shawshank Redemption, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, A Beautiful Mind, Before Sunrise, Sunset and Midnight, just to mention a few.

Since I really enjoy baking, besides sharing the meal, I could actually teach you a new recipe. And Albanian. It is one of the unique languages in the Indo-European language tree because it relates to no other language. So if you want something unique, I can teach you that and you could even specialize in the Kosovan dialect :).
I am very eager to learn new things and promise to be a good student. I can't have enough of national recipes so getting a new one would make me very happy. I also enjoy knitting, I am not good at it yet, but I would really like to get to know a local pattern. Since I am living in Norway, I got closer to the Marius pattern which is very nice and I also have a weakness for the Icelandic sweaters. So if you have a cool pattern to share, I'd love to learn it.
Otherwise, teach me your language, please!
