About Me

My name is Larissa, I'm 27 years old and a French and Spanish teacher. I'm Austrian and living nowhere and everywhere right now, because I'm travelling the world.
I'd say I'm an open-minded, kind, ambitious, clean and adventurous person. I'm definitely interested in getting to know new cultures and cities. Ask me if you have any questions! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first time I've tried Cochsurfing on one of my trips was when I travelled through France, in the Bretagne, and I had lots of fun meeting people . I think it's the best way to get to know someone from a different city or country and their culture. I've already travelled a lot in Europe, the United States, Mexico, South America, New Zealand and Australia.
I want to be adventurous and ask nice people to take me in for one or a couple of nights, talk, get to know each other and even explore the city a little together.
I like meeting people, who know the best places to go or who can show you around the city, tell you what kind of food is typical in their region. That's what I want - to be in contact with lots of other people, who enjoy the exchange of culture and knowledge.

Interests

TRAVELLING!!! :)
I like spending my weekends or evenings watching a movie or inviting friends over for dinner and playing board games. I'm passionate about (beach-) volleyball.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to watch TV - if series or movies doesn't really matter. Blindspot, Homeland, Scandal, NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, Grey's Anatomy and Modern Family are just some of the series I currently watch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wow, that's hard to say...did I do something amazing and what is amazing? I guess it depends. Maybe the fact that I went to live a year abroad with a host family at the age of 15? I don't know if you would consider this as amazing, but for me it changed my life. It was the first real contact with a new culture, language and I really matured throughout that year. Now I have a second family - they opened their home to me and one day I want to do the same for someone else.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm excited to tell you all about my first experiences of couchsurfing and travel stories over a shared meal!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Culture, culture, culture! The work I did in the schools of Bordeaux a few years ago was all about teaching the language differences between the German we speak in Austria, Switzerland and Germany. The majority has never been to Austria, so I tell them how it is like, that we have lots of nature, especially mountains, and what kind of food we eat, traditions,...
