I love to sport and to travel. Sports I like are rock climbing (although it's mostly indoors), running, cycling, mountainbiking and ice skating.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It seems like a very nice oppurtunity to get in contact with the people and culture of the countries you visit. I really like the travellers/hostel culture and I see this as an online equivalent of that culture.
In short: a platform to meet cool new foreign people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: It depends on the mood and environment. Shortlist: Bach, Mozart, The Eagles, Snarky Pupppy, Bob Marley, Muse (though I cannot really enjoy it much, because my girlfriend hates it...), The Foo Fighters, OneRepublic, Guns 'n Roses, The Golden Earring, Rise Against, The Rolling Stones etc etc...
My favourite film of all time would be Fight Club, I guess.. Other films I like are the James Bond series, just because. More recent: Shoot the messenger, The good lie, Camp X-Ray; all very good stories, which show there is an alternative truth behind everything.
Books: Well, almost all dutch.. So not really worth mentioning here I guess. Furthermore I'm recently into reading philosophical political works from the enlightment.. (Yes I know, kinda nerd...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing to the top of the Gunung Agung before sunrise on independence day in Bali. Hearing all those people sing their anthem while the sun was rising was a magical, almost surreal, experience.
