About Me

24-year-old feminist-vegan-archaeologist-foodie-sagittarius-American from Kansas. Ex-art librarian/historian, currently pursuing work in archaeology and conservation. I moved to London for grad school in 2015, felI in love with a Spanish girl, and am now living full-time in my dream flat in East London. We've been surfing together since November 2016 so you can check her profile for more references :) https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/2004505682

I am always available over the phone/Skype or if I'm already in your area, to meet up so coffee first.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting like-minded individuals is always a plus, especially when you're in a new place without much direction. Much nicer than spending money on a hostel and awkwardly sharing a room with people you've never spoken to. I've hosted a few traveling bands and their roadies as well, which is a great way to see local music. Also met a lot of other vegan hosts/surfers on this site, so that has been an amazing way to get involved with local activism and find out the best restaurants.

Music, Movies, and Books

I usually like dark, ethereal metal music. I also like electric sounds, hardcore, blues, funk, rock, and strange Scandinavian music. I really like foreign films (especially Japanese), old westerns, and kung-fu. And Dirty Dancing hah. I read a lot of comic books and non-fiction... textbooks usually. Luckily I love school.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to pick fresh kumquats from the garden of the mayor of Rocca Imperale, Italy while I was working there in the summer of 2012 :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm really good at making [vegan] jelly donuts, rolling tamales, and cooking/baking in general. I can tell you a lot about the geosciences and ancient art of the Near East and Northern Africa. I love nature and can tell you some cool hikes and places to go. I can also watch UFC, soccer, hockey, or football with you can tell you all about them.

I would love to learn more about carpentry, architecture, judo/muy thai, and ANYTHING LONDON-y (especially cycle polo). I know very little about the neighborhoods, restaurant scene, and general social scene of England as I have never visited... but I live here now so please help me! I would also love if I could sing, but I'm not sure if that can be taught.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Food (I cook!), pictures of dogs, haircuts, workout tips, art films, laughs!

Also cleanly services/house work/lawn maintenance/heavy lifting/light bulb replacement.

Countries I’ve Visited
