Overview
About Me
Hello, I am a designer from Toronto, Canada working in the technology sector. But that's just my day-job. After work, I am the director and founder of a design collective community called Makeshift Collective (http://wemakeshift.com) where we eat, make, and collaborate together in our shared studio apartment.
The best part of my work is being able to work with a variety of amazing people with different walks of life, lifestyles and unique cultural backgrounds. I care deeply about people, community, and I live to able to learn more about different cultural interactions and ways of life.
While I was born in Canada and my mother-tongue is English, I understand a bit of Korean from my parents. I also learned French when I was young (mandatory in Canada), and understand basic German from when I lived in Germany for 6 months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm absolutely fascinated by different cultures, and care very deeply about learning about different ways of life through locallers (rather than what has been marketed through tourism). Because I've grown up in North America - it's easy for me to be biased with a singular way of life, and I believe that my life journey is to open up my understanding of different ways of living to bring perspective to my own journey.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I think very philosophically and observe the world around me with and open mind; allowing me to absorb a unique understanding of the world that I love to discuss, expand, and share with others I meet. While learning more about others - I hope that in return, others can learn from the stories I have to share.
