Tim is Australian and grew up in Wangaratta, then moved to Fitzroy (Melbourne) in his teenage years.
He loves Fitzroy and knows all about the sweet gigs to go to and the great things happening in this cool little suburb of Melbourne.
Tim is the father of two beautiful, cool little children Lily (10yrs old) and Jamie (8yrs old). They come over to Fitzroy every second weekend to have some fun with us.
Mariane is French and has been travelling for the last 4 years. She is now establishing herself in Melbourne. She grew up in a lovely little country town in France but couldn't wait for the day when she could fly up up and away.
The story of Tim and Mariane is pretty sweet and unique...
Tims' mum picked up Mariane on the side of the road as she was hitching around Australia. That was the beginning of the end. They fell deeply in love etc... ; )
We are both pretty different and if you happen to hang out with us, you will see how and why. However we are both on the same wave length and love to meet and share in life. We enjoy the simple little moments that life offers and are pretty open for new adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have decided to be on Couchsurfing to meet people, learn new things, hang out with foreigners, share our cool spot in Melbourne, and create an awesome network of friend all around the globe.

Go to the market, cook fresh food together (Tim's speciality => paella), and share it with friends.
Do some fire twirling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tim : Skydiving in Portugual, quit smoking, and went on my own to travel around Spain.
Mariane : Bungy jumping in New Zealand, quit smoking, and travel on a bike for 3000Km around Asia.

We can share a bit of our space and/ or our time with you.
We will love to share a drink, a dinner, our passions, a conversation, a game, some music, an evening, a day, a weekend, a moment to hang out...
We will love to learn about your culture, your language, your travels, your experiences, learn more fire twirling tricks, how to dance Salsa and play Cajon if you know, new cool recipes, and improve/practice our Spanish/ French.
In exchange we can show you how to explore the cool city of Melbourne. How to cook original unique (mainly vegetarian) recipes, play hoop, guitar, ukulele, table tennis, boardgames. Give good information about Asian countries, how to travel on a bicycle, or survive in case of a bush fire :) How to be a relaxed French or a sophisticated Aussie.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A couch one every forth night. A bed pretty much the rest of the time.
A meal, a drink, a chat, some music, some games.
Tim work keeps him really busy, so he will be able to spend only a bit of time in the evening but mostly during the weekend.
Mariane is pretty free with her time at the moment so she will be able to show you around and spend time with you.
