About Me
I'm back from my three months trip through the US, Canada and Iceland. It was the first time I used Couchsurfing and I have met so many interesting people, that I want to go on and now try the other side and host people from all over the world.
I live together with my lovely husband in a small flat in a residential area in Hamburg.
We are friendly, trustworthy and responsible people, open to meet new people and experience new situations.
If the world ended tomorrow, I would not regret anything because I had an amazing life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet nice and interesting people from all over the world. Tell me your live stories, travel stories or anything amazing, funny or unbelievable that happened to you.
I believe that even the most boring theme can be interesting, funny or breathtaking, when you talk to the right person.
I'm travelling a lot and might need a lovely place to stay during my upcoming trips.
Interests
travelling (I have visited so many amazing places and met nice people, but yet I cannot get enough from it)
different cultures (We grew up in a certain society but seeing the world through someone else's eyes makes us more tolerant, open-minded and wiser)
playing board games (On a regularly basis I meet up with friends just to play the whole day. We have lots of different board games, which we could gladly play at any given time. It's a thing I have done since my childhood because my parents were somewhat against kids watching television and playing computer)
Welcoming refugees. In the summer I saw how bad people were treated after they had to decide to leave home, friends and family. So I decided to no longer stay back but get engaged to help. Since then I volunteered here and there. Often it's hard work but what you are getting back is so much worth it. Seeing people laugh and having fun again after the worst weeks in their life's really touched my heart.
cooking and baking (I love eating and trying new things and you can say what you want but for me a self cooked meal or self baked cake are so much better than random food in restaurants)
Talking about anything and everything. I'm pretty laid back, patient and a good and interested listener. My friends appreciate that they can talk to me about everything. I would never judge or embarrass someone for opening her/his heart to me.
US tv series (I'm kind of a junkie for different reasons: 1. It's perfect to keep up with your English vocabulary, 2. US tv series are so much better than German television, especially since in German television everything is dubbed and the voices do not fit to the actors or you have the same voices all over again. 3. the variety is endless and you can find whatever theme you are interested in
I also love to talk about the series and am interested in visiting some of the sets or areas, where series have been produced. I cannot state every series I have watched here, because it's to many and you would definitely think I'm crazy but some I'm really into are: How I met your mother, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, The Vampire Diaries, True Blood)
Amazing moments (I think its the memorable things that made our lifes worth living. So I'm always up to any crazy, funny, spontaneous or creative things to do. If there is anything you always wanted to do but haven't found someone who wants to participate, ask me and maybe we will have the time of our life together)

Music, Movies, and Books
Mainstream music from the radio, which i can sing along also I have to say I didn't much like the music on US radio during my road trip in California. The music on German radio has much more variety.
No favorite movie at all, but interested in fantasy movies (e.g. the Hunger Games), agent movies (like Jason Bourne or James Bond), thrillers (e.g. The Departed, Blood diamond and yes I like Leonardo DiCaprio), (romantic) comedies (e.g. Love actually, Valentine's day, Catch me if you can) and others but no animation movies.
My favorite books are thrillers written by authors like Jeffery Deaver, Colin Forbes, James Patterson etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing on the highest building of the world and looking down on the city of Dubai.
Watching the sun go down in Hoi An whilst the city was enlightened with lanterns.
Visiting Pura Besakih in Bali shrouded in fog.
Walking through a lava tube in Maui. Only me and my torch light. When I shut off the light, it was completely dark. I couldn't see anything only hearing little waterdrops splashing on the floor and my own heart beating.
