About Me

Sincerity is a word I like.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me it's a beautiful network possibility, connecting people via internet and in person across distances I - for now and years to come - woudn't be able to cover. It is also about how to spend money.

Interests

I like my work, am interested in literature, politics, philosophy, sports. I still want to get into mathematics somewhat more, partly in connection with psychological research. Another topic on my mind is the environmental destruction taking place. I follow what's happening around people like Jacob Applebaum, Julian Assange, Noam Chomsky and so on, I get a lot of my news from the radio when I shower, eat or just do stuff. In Frankfurt I get around by bike, I'm into food and wine, coffee, music, dance, walks and I love talking to people. It's nice when you get into a good flow like an ongoing intense ping-pong.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Dostojewski, Oscar Wilde I loved a lot, Sartre, Boris Vian "Der Schaum der Tage", US-road-lit like Tom Wolfe. Will Self. Goethe, Schillers "Kabale und Liebe", Rilke. Years back Jack London, Christine Nöstlinger, when I was little Astrid Lindgren. Still Murakami or whatever crosses my path.

Film: Angès Varda, Pasolini. I liked Fatih Akins "Gegen die Wand" and by Matthias Glasner "Der freie Wille". Recently I watched "Citizen 4" which was alright. These days it's usually documentaries.

Currently there is mainly work, so it's music only when I catch it. I uesd to listen to various things, classical music like Wagner and Bach still, Jazz, Pretenders, there were Talking Heads, Bowie, Stranglers, Iggy Pop, Frank Zappa...
