About Me

By my estimation, pretty normal 29 year old woman from the Baltics. Introverted, but loves other people and their company. Quite nerdy, also always studying a language and up to some art project of varying scale. Travelling again after a long pause.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Rediscovered this platform after years of staying put in my home town. After deciding that I've been stuck in one place (in all kinds of ways), I've made the lifestyle change of moving to Turin, Italy where I know no one and don't speak the language. Time will tell if this was a good idea, but I do not doubt that I will again meet many amazing people through this page :)

Interests

I like most kinds of visual arts; currently exploring my drawing tablet and trying to fill up my sketchbook before the end of the year, or else I won't allow myself to get a new one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: various; I like folk, especially of different cultures and languages; Pink Floyd has a special place in my heart. Also really drawn to live music events lately.

Movies: if pressed for a single favourite, I'd say it has to be "El laberinto del fauno" by Guillermo del Torro.

Books: into reading books that are not in my native tongue or English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

* Working in a crisis hotline (specifically in suicide prevention). Finding connection and understanding with those who seek help.

Teach, Learn, Share

- I can teach you a bit of my language. I hear it's pretty weird.
- I almost always have a book that I could swap.

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Stories; and an ear to listen to your stories as well.
- I like to cook and have an 85% success rate with that.
- Expect much language trivia from me.
- Drawing/painting/photography sessions.
- Have an introvert party.
