Last year I spent the best year of my life studying abroad in Charleston, South Carolina. Afterwards I travelled the US, which was my first time using this website and staying with hosts.
Now I have just finished my final year at university in the UK and I am traveling Japan for a month between July and August, with no idea idea what I am doing or what to expect.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I DO NOT believe Couch Surfing to be a free version of AirBNB. In fact, I think paid accommodation would be less hassle than finding a place to stay on CS. But if you are looking for a network that connects people from different cultures and to make new friends around the world, then CS is the way to go!
After my travels I hope to move to London and host other Couch Surfers :)

Interests

• I played rugby for 7 years, but then I discovered that I don’t like the cold so I wimped out and quit
• I used to do gymnastics (random flips and shit) but then I got injured and started eating
• As I studied computing and mathematics I am a bit of a nerd. So if you don’t want to host me but need your computer fixing, that’s cool.
• I currently hold a part time job as a Wedding DJ and I am trying to nail the subtle cheesiness that the profession requires, but instead I think I just come across as socially awkward

Music, Movies, and Books

Love my music.  I have been to the Benicassim music festival in Spain which was amazing! It’s the only festival I have been to and I would love to go to more.

I like to watch stuff that you can ‘dribble’ to, which means its easy to watch and doesn’t require a lot of thinking. I’m currently watching Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.

I read when I have too much time on my hands (so I will probably start reading again soon). I like Ian McEwan-who is a random English author and of course all the Harry Potters.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Completed my degree with a 1st class honors! Well that or the time I spent 3 days on a filthy greyhound bus from South Carolina to Texas with a diet of chicken sandwiches and my personal hygiene at an all time low.

I am a seasoned traveler, so I can share with you many stories from the countries I have visited.  Or I can also lie and tell you how fun England is (its not that bad).
