I am Sol from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was born in Spain, but I live in Buenos Aire since I was 2 years old.
Now I am 31 years old & I am a graphic designer, photographer and black and white photo lab technician. I also do works of bookbinding and restoration of old books.
Photography is my passion in life and I really enjoy traveling!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to met new & different kinds of people! I really enjoy taking with them and in this way understand other types of living & thinking cultures.
I believe the best way to knowing a new city is by the eyes of a local citizen! They can tell you the very special spots. And so, you can skip the narrow tourist circuit and start realizing the real essence of that place.

Interests

· I really enjoy ANALOG PHOTOGRAPHY!!!! I believe it generates a natural fell to the images. I always try to carry with me one of my loving film cameras in my trips! I studied 5 years of analog photography in the lovely atelier of my sweet & old photo professor, only with my very best friend, there were great years of learning. And analog Black & White laboratory is my magical place!

· I am a active person in the great POSTCROSSING project! Its a really lovely way of exchanging culture! In Argentina we are few Postcrossers. Because of that and the lovely country we have people around the world enjoy our postcards very much.

· ART is my big interest. I enjoy all kinds of art, from medieval and renaissance art up to the new digital ways to express ourselves.

· MUSIC, I can´t imagine a day in my life without listening to music. Its makes me imagine and fly without moving from my place. Its a amazing and profound way of communicating emotions.

• Now, that I am travelling in Europe for some months, I have started to used de Geocaching App! And its so much fun! If you have the oportunity: use it! Its a lovely way to know new and great spots in the cities, just looking for hidden treasures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am open to every kind of music, I like to discover new stuff & mixtures of styles.
But I really love The Pixies, The Clash, the Smiths, The Who, The Doors, Bowie, Stone Roses, Velvet Underground, Arcade Fire, The Cure. This last year I was listening a lot to Sufjan Stevens, Grimes, Mac deMarco and Tame Impala. Also eternal clasicals as The Beatles, Rolling Stones & Elvis. I have fun with 60's rhythms, Jazz and rockabilly.

Movies and all the audiovisual world are things I really apprreciate! Last year I started making some short movies for the University I am very glad with the results, I mixed analog and digital tools.
I love David Lynch, Tarantino & Almodovar movies. I became a Wes Anderson fan! I love to lose myself in the thousands of beautiful details. And I adore all Michel Gondry works!! He has taken video to a whole new level of sensations!

I am a very big fan of Hermann Hesse literature! His book Demian has change my adolescence thoughts!
I enjoy very much Jorge Luis Borges books and my really favorite poet is Charles Baudelaire! I am starting with Rainer Maria Rilke.... Sometimes I also enjoy to read some nature/ botanical book where is explained how natural things work, I am very curious!
