Overview
About Me
I'm currently a Student at the University of Toronto, studying International Development Studies and Anthropology. My interest and focus is mainly in two areas: the food system and activism through different art forms. I spend as much time as possible on small organic farms learning about agroforestry and permaculture and am very interested in discovering or re-learning, and sharing, different farming strategies that work with nature to create more resilient ecosystems.
I just came back from a year in Jamaica, working with young entrepreneurs from vulnerable communities to develop business ideas, helping out small farmers, and doing research on art and activism.
It's very important to me to work towards creating and being a part of a sharing/ DIY economy, so I'm always excited to be involved in things that encourage community and interdependence. I also love learning and sharing skills like natural building construction, brewing, bee-keeping, urban gardening, sewing, etc.
I also like to spend my summers hitch-hiking around Canada, I love meeting new people and it's amazing how much kindness I receive while on the road. Always looking for people to spend the day with and for a couch to sleep! Will be hosting once I'm housed again in the Fall/Winter and also always happy to share a meal or go on an adventure with anyone who's in T.O.!
