Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Well, this is the best place to meet up locals! Or expats who live in another country and might have some valuable information, tips or hints about things. It is great to find another fellow couchsurfer to experience their culture from inside. It is out of your comfort zone to stay in a different place but thats how you make new friends, do things that you would never imagine you would do. And of course, by the end of the day, your wallet will be happier :)

Interests

Quite interested in photography, specifically macro photography and scenery but I am not more than an amateur. Geocaching is super fun if you can find some time to spare. I got interested i kayaking quite recently but I fell in love with it, so I try to go for kayaking with friends and sometimes alone whenever I can. I have huge knowledge on video games as I have been playing since my childhood and planning to play them as long as I live!

Music, Movies, and Books

I simply love all the work done by Tolkien, Lord of the Rings,Hobbit, Silmarillion, you name it. Other than that, I really like Star Wars and cyberpunk, neo-noir movies. I usually read anything I find but historical novels and stories are the most interesting for me. I enjoy to listen large selection of music genres from classic rock to synthwave.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am afraid of swimming in dark waters such as lakes that you cannot see the bottom. One summer day in Finland, I just put my shorts on and jumped in the lake. There was nobody around to encourage me but I just did it. It was drizzling but so quiet and peaceful. Maybe it wasn't the most amazing thing, but it felt so great to overcome my fear, enjoy the peace and amazing nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach my language and what I know about other languages I came across, cooking some delicacies from my hometown, maybe some things about photography. I'd like to learn how to play guitar, I have never been good at that! And anything else, I love learning stuff. I have stories and experiences to share.
