Hello, I'm Simone, and I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I am also studying psychology through correspondence at the University of South Africa, I am in my final year of my degree. My friends and family would describe me as being very open, with a smile that can warm anyone's heart. I have to agree with them, I do love to see people smiling and full of happiness. I love to be around new and different people, and learn new things about different cultures and lifestyles. I love to share my knowledge and ideas with people, if they are willing to listen and learn of course, I respect others views and ways of life, and find myself to be very patient and tolerant to differences others might have from me, and see this as a platform for growth. I have just begun my travelling adventures, and I am so open to every country and place. I just want to see it all, I have such a burning passion for travel...

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

The reason I am on CS, is because I would love to feel the experience of freedom and excitement that comes with travelling to various different locations in the world, and to meet people who are open to allow fellow humans into their home. I love the idea of Inclusion that couch surfing installs and I am interested in learning and being in the presence of such individuals. I love the idea of meeting new people and learning about their cultures, customs and way of life, I love the idea of being able to give something back as a way of thanks, and I love the idea of opening my home up to other couch surfers. Even though I cannot open my home up to members in Italy, I have a home in South Africa that is Open to couch surfers from all over the world.
The idea of couch surfing has always applied to me and the fact that you will meet people that will change your perspective of the world we live in and how to regain trust and respect in a world that has completely forgotten what this is. I have only ever heard good feedback from couch surfing, and I am very interested to become part of the Global community/tribe of CS members.

I love so many things. Let me start with my favourites first.

- I love to be outdoors. Yes, anything that has to be with connecting with nature. I love to do. I love to go for hikes, I love to be in the forest, i love being on the beach and listening to the sound of the ocean, I love to cycle (you really see so much more of the world this way), I love to look at the stars and the moon on clear evenings, and i love to be at outdoor festivals.

- I have a huge passion for the creative side of life, I am very into making macrame bracelets, necklaces, anklets, hair wraps, dream-catchers (big and small), and caging crystals to give out to people ( because crystals love to travel as well). I absolutely love to paint with watercolours. And i have a huge passion to teach children how to do various arts & crafts that can help them form a love for the artist side of life as well.

- Flow arts is one of my growing passions, I currently have been hula hooping for one year, and I cannot get enough of it. It really connects me into the hear and now, and i find it has connected me to myself in a way nothing else has ever done before. I am interested in getting better at Poi, this is also a beautiful flow art. I have interests in getting into contact juggling and slack lining, in the near future as well.

- I have a huge love for the metaphysical side of life. I practice meditation to cleanse my mind, but my true meditation is while I hula hoop. I also love to do Oracle readings for myself and for my friends, when they ask of course. I keep my oracle cards close to my heart and practice this as often as I can to keep me grounded and give me guidance.

- I am also very interested in who people are. I love to become consumed by other peoples cultures and their ways of life. This passion stems from my love of psychology and the idea of Ubuntu, and inclusion. I am so interested in forming a global network of friends of all ages, sexes, culture backgrounds, religions, and just every person from every walk of life that has a good heart and that is interested in raising the vibration of the earth.

Life is music... The music that i love is very broad and varied. I absolutely love Psytrance, it is one of my favourite genres, especially darkpsy, and forest. This is trance that is between 140-155 bpm. It has been with me since i was a young girl, and the bpm has really helped me to connect to mother earth and her vibrations. Some other genres that I listen to are: world-folk, reggae, Indie, Dub-step, DnB, Ambient Dub, Electronic Swing, Indian style music, Celtic music, and so much more.

And documentaries that i love include, What The bleep down the rabbit hole, zeitgeist, we are legion, and TEDx talks, Psychedelic documentaries, Substance documentaries, And Spirit science videos.

What I can teach: I am very open to teaching people everything I know. I aspire to be an alternative teacher one day and I hope to show people how to live in a good way, and do this by leading by example. I can teach people how to do various crafts, like making jewellery, how to make dream catchers, how to hula hoop and how to make them. "Creativity is contagious, pass it on." ~ Albert Einstein~
I can also teach them what I know about the world and its cultures, I can teach them how to love themselves and how to find their true passions and talents in their lives.

I hope to learn how to be more trusting towards others hospitality. Since I come from South Africa, I am always sometimes on guard about who or what is happening around me. I have always been like this to be, and don't want to be like this anymore. I want to learn how to feel safe in this world. I want to learn about different cultures and how they influence every individual that is in contact with it. I want to learn how families are raised and how they view the world, I want to learn about young peoples lifestyles and ways of thinking. I want to learn all i can about travel and everything that comes with travelling. I have so much I want to learn, it would be impossible to write it all down in one section.

What I have to share is the knowledge and experience I have gathered throughout my short years here on this earth. I feel I have a lot to share with those who are willing to accept what I have to offer.
