My name is Joana I’m 27 years old, I live in the beautiful city of Leipzig in the east of Germany, been here for 6 years and haven got bored of it yet!
Even though I’m an introvert I get confused for an extrovert lots of time because of my lack of shyness and openness to meet and connect with new people and my talkative and bubbly personality.
I think that my persona and values have been greatly influenced by growing up with two very different cultures, I was born in the north of Germany but grew up in Chile in a German household.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It hasn’t changed I love learning about different cultures l, meeting with people from different backgrounds and making meaningful connections with people from all over the world

Interests

-I jump from hobby to hobby all the time, now I’m kinda obsessed with building book books.
-Reading always has been my biggest love and I usually read multiple at the same time and I’m also a bit of a book hoarder and have a big book collection at home.
-I really like meeting with international people so I go to a few different language meetings in my city.
-Cycling around the city especially at night.
-Journaling.
-Travelling of course like most people, I try to do it as much as I can and I really like to solo travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: mostly non fiction books about any topic that catches my eye, from psychology, sociology, linguistics to science, physics, history. I particularly enjoy writers like Malcom Gladwell, Rolf Dobelli, Bill Bryson, Yuval Noah Harari, etc. also a bit of lightheaded romance from for example Ali Hazelwood and a lot of classics as well.

Movies: it’s and understatement to say that I’m an ignorant when it comes to movies and tv shows but I’m committed to change that! So open for all recommendations or let’s watch your favourite ones together!

Music: My spotify has all the genres but I listen mostly to indie rock and indie pop, my favourite musicians at the moment are Hozier, Noah Kahan, Vincent Lima, NF, Flipturn, Rainbow Kitten surprise, Chance Peña, Hazlett, David Kushner, Matt Maeson, Novo Amor, etc.
