About Me

¡Yo hablo y entiendo poquito Español!👍

I'm experiencing life the way I should have years ago, by traveling & taking in new experiences that I once was too busy for.

The first things that people notice about me are: My smile, that I look younger than I really am, and look Mexican (Oaxaqueño) when I'm not.

I've been told that I possess an infectious enthusiasm and a hospitable charm.

Lastly, no, I was not named after Homer(o) Simpson! 😅

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to get as close to experiencing destinations from the beautiful point of view that the locals have without actually laying down permanent roots. I love to travel, and I love meeting people. I'm the type of person who has offered free car rides to random pedestrians that looked friendly & were obviously very tired. I appreciate what Couchsurfing is doing for the world 🌍

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In kindergarten, I accidentally ran into the bumper of a schoolbus and lost a tooth in the process. . . . umm, stitches were involved 😳 Hahaha!

A 3-week trip to México somehow turned into a 5-month long adventure ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook you a vegan pasta or maybe Filipino chicken adobo 😋

If you've got onions, carrots, celery, and garlic.....and a sharp western chef's knife, I can teach you to use your knife like a professional cook.

I'd love to learn how it is to experience your town/city from your perspective.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a decent cook. I enjoy exploring, esp. if you've been meaning to see more of your city. I like to go out with you to have some nightlife fun, esp. dancing! And I'm always up for a nice conversation over some tea or coffee. Everyone has their own unique, complex, and vivid story. I would love to hear yours! 😀
