About Me

Hi, my name is Caitlín, I'm very Irish, and I am an 23 year old student living in Dublin. I'm an easy going person, I like to be positive and lighthearted.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a huge interest in travelling, having travelled a lot with my family from an early age and having lived abroad in Germany, France and Italy. As a student I'm always on a very low budget so Couchsurfing seems like the cleverest way to see new places and meet new people! I'm living at home for the time being so I'm not in the best position for hosting, but whenever I get the chance to start doing so, I'm open to inviting all you lovely folks with a cuppa tea and good chats.

Interests

I am currently starting my final year studying Fine Art, and I have a great interest in crafts such a jewellery making and paper making and felting, among other things! I love music, I love finding new music and going to festivals in the Summer time to discover new people and new sounds. Though I would see myself as a pretty outgoing person one of my favourite things is sitting with a new fantasy novel and reading til my eyes wont stay open any longer. I have a great love for nature, having grown up in the back arse of no-where in Clare, and I love going for adventures in forests and hikes alone or with friends. I'm an expert tree-climber, and am currently educating myself on everything and anything I can learn about trees - the majestic creatures that they are!

Music, Movies, and Books

I just finished Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time and I'm in dire need of a new epic to start on so if anyone has any suggestions.... ;)

Any type of nature documentary I will love. Working through all the David Attenborough series at the moment.

Love me some good ol sci-fi/fantasy - Firefly and Avatar - Aang the last Airbender are regulars that I can go back and watch anytime and get endless entertainment from. Was (probably still am) a big Buffy head, gotta love Joss Whedon!

Cowboy Bebop is one I'm working through atm, Adventure Time and Regular Show are way up there on the list too. Kids shows my arse! :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tea and chats, knowledge of things to do in Ireland, and just general kindness and (hopefully) helpfullness :)
