My name is Stedtman, but most of my friends call me Tre because my middle name is Trevaillé. I am always bad at these sort of things. I guess to start out I will say that I am a fun loving adventurous person. I live in San Francisco, but spend about three months out of the year traveling. I love new people, places, and adventures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find that the best way to get to know any place you visit is to hear it from a local. What better way to meet locals than to have them open their home to you? In my experience with this website and other couch surfing adventures I have had nothing but amazing experiences and met a lot of awesome people. It's good to have someone point you in the right direction even if they have the time to be your guide.

Interests

I love singing, emceeing, playing guitar, producing instrumentals and being active. I am a big fan of conversations revolving around social activism such as civil rights, spirituality, history, and politics. I also like a good laugh while sharing a beer with good people. I love to see art shows, concerts, and local cultural hotspots as well as visit cool bars and breweries.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes are pretty eclectic, but I am most often bumping hip hop, soul, classic rock, and Ethiopia Jazz. I'm open to pretty much everything though. I love movies! I went to school to study acting for theatre, film, and television so I am always trying to catch the next awesome movie. I like scary movies a lot too. I read a lot of science fiction and graphic novels. However, I grew up reading a lot of books revolving around social issues as well as anthropological studies.

I love sharing music and poetry. I am always willing to learn more about the culture and history of places I visit. Tell me something you wouldn't find in a travel guide.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very neat and respectful, love to cook meals for hosts if they have a kitchen, and I pride myself in not being a burden on anybody who opens their home to me. It would be great to have a host who wouldn't mind hanging out with me at some point, but I'm a fairly independent person so I can always find ways to entertain myself.
