My name is Finja and I guess that´s the only thing I can tell you for sure.
I try to make the best of all the situations I get into, sometimes I have success and sometimes I fail. I like being outside because it´s so much easier to live to see things than if you stay inside. I love the sea and hate that I don´t live next to it. I love my friends and love that I live next to them. I like riddles and I´m frustrated if a can´t find the solution on my own. Most of the time I´m happy and I´m glad about it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Get to know new people, get to know new places and get to know new people, who live in a new places... Sounds good to me!

I like - of course and probably like everyone else here - to travel. And when I go somewhere I enjoy slow travelling, not to rush through one city after the other but to take my time to explore the place, to stay there at least for a couple of days and to see the countryside, to hike and sometimes even to do nothing while I´m there. I think Couchsurfing helps a lot if you want to travel like this.

Also I like to cook. Sometimes with a recipe, more often without and of course to eat the food afterwards, which tastes best shared with a great lot of other people. And when you are couchsurfing you always have someone to share your meal with.

Interests

There are little things that I really can´t stand and for the rest I have an interest once I came across.
One thing I really like, is to learn a new language. The only problem is that a couple of weeks after I started, there is a new language I want to learn, so I until now I have failed learning any. Right now it´s Greek and I hope that now that I will be in Greece for half a year I will finally succeed.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kind of music, if it fits the moment, from Billie Holiday to The Knife and nearly everything in between. Right now I listen a lot to The Clash and The Sexpistols again.
I don´t know many films but a couple of days ago I have seen The Lobster. Super weird but super!
I read lots of different belles-lettres but also non-fiction and love to have a newspaper with my breakfast.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I stopped nail biting after more than 15 years. I know, it sounds rather unexciting but least I was amazed =)
