Haven't used couchsurfing yet.
I am keen to make friends with the locals as I feel this is the best way to explore new cultures, rather than going into a new country and sharing rooms in hostels with backpackers from other countries.
I would find it interesting to see how locals live daily and what kind of food they eat. I hope that staying with locals will help me gain better knowledge of the town, culture and country through shared knowledge and advice of where to go exploring.
