About Me

Greetings, my dear fellow couch surfers!

My name is Lucie and my alma mater happens to be the Faculty of Law for now.
This petrifying struggle lasts already four years. I'm trying to cut and run
while applying for admission to journalism studies. I've always inclined to
literature and writing, so it appears to be the right choice. I work as a editor
for website Kulturio.cz in my leisure time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've tried it once while I was in Berlin. And it was one of the best weeks in my crazy life. I want to couchsurf again and again... :D

Interests

As I mentioned before, I have a great passion for books of all kinds. I equate
myself with the thought that reading the right books learns you to think
differently, to use your imagination and it also extends your vocabulary.

Beside books I'm also fond of movies as almost everybody I know. I go in for
belly dancing, board games and the most strenuous sport I know – sleeping.
It took me many years to master this mysterious art. Today, I can say that not
even an army of alarm clocks can wake me from my slumber.

As a girl, I love to stay in the kitchen... while playing computer games as Diablo III, Skyrim or WOW. Sometimes I even cook there - when I have "target eater". :) I adore LARPs, theatre, creating new stuff, re-organizing my room, travelling and most off all - new experiences in all the ways you can imagine.

Music, Movies, and Books

As it goes for books I enojy czech authors Jiří Kulhánek, Vladislav Vančura or Karel Jaromír Erber (I recommend them to you ;) ). But mostly I grab a book written by a foreigner, I feel it gives me more. For example Chuck Palahniuk, Frank Herbert, Emil Zola, Dostoyevski, Agatha Christie, Terry Pratchett, Stephen King or Remarque... they are many...

My taste in movies depends on my current attitude, mood and too many factors. But my fixed stars are Interview with a Vampire, Quills, The Mummy Returns, The Brothers Grimm, A Midnight in Paris, Easy Virtue,...

I listen to everything from opera to dubstep, ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I started to be lethaly honest (not rude). Until then I feel damn free.

...And I rode a camel, went by a submarine and pet the fruit bat... (I seriously can't come up with something shocking. Sorry for that...)

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I can give you some dancing lessons, cook something tasty or learn you how to proffesionally shuffle cards. :) I also know rules of many board & card games.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Tunisia, United Kingdom
