I am a half Latvian, half Russian living in Denmark. I moved away from Latvia 11 years ago. I am almost like a tourist in Latvia now :) I return every year to visit my family.

I usually travel using airbnb and have had amazing experience in Croatia staying at a local family's airbnb. I thought that couchsurfing could be another interesting way to meet people from different cultures around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend of mine just told me that she and her friend used it to find beautiful places and met wonderful people while traveling around Ecuador. It inspired me to join.

Interests

I am a creative person.
I like to listen to people's life changing stories (learning from other people's mistakes), I don't mind sharing some of my stories as well :))
I like quality music, I love drawing and sometimes even singing!
I enjoy photography, I can get carried away with some macro picture-taking of nature's beauty.

Historical places with mysterious history fascinate me.
And of course, traveling! Exploring the world!

I like diverse music. Depending on my mood..
RnB, Hip Hop, Pop...for dancing purposes
Smooth Jazz, Chill out, Ambient - for relaxation.
Classic music for studying and increasing the ability to focus.
I also like unorthodox new type of music where symphony meets beatbox, hip hop meets choir...something like that :)

Most recent books I have read are by Robert Monroe (I read all three of them: the last one is The Ultimate Journey, which blew my mind).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I haven't killed anyone. I think that's pretty amazing considering the way world is today :D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Russian, Latvian, English, if anyone is interested...I am a bit impatient teacher though...

I'm interested in learning Latin American Spanish language.
