About Me
Hello! I am an English Literature major hailing from a small sunny island called Singapore. I love reading obviously but I also enjoy the occasional running, walking around aimlessly and people watching. Previously working in Stockholm, travelled to Amsterdam and got inspired to become a graphic designer, now rolling towards the career path of product/UX designer.
Pop culture junkie. Feminist. Slytherin. Iced teas and fleas. Aspiring writer and designer. Yep that's about what sums me up in a few words.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love talking to people, finding out more about their lives (not in a stalkerish kind of way of course), sharing with them my own experience and basically learn about things which I never know before!
Interests
UPDATE: I am now a UX Designer!
I have an interest in art (handicrafts, personal projects), Art (high culture sorts...) and ART (basically every other kind that falls out of the other categories) .

Music, Movies, and Books
The Unbearable Lightness of Being, To the Lighthouse, Amsterdam by Ian McEwan, An Artist of the Floating World, Norwegian Wood, Just Kids, On the Road, Madame Bovary by Flaubert translated by Lydia Davis (who is also a fantastic writer herself). The Old Man and the Sea. The Bell Jar.
Poems of Plath, Keats, Carol Ann Duffy, TS Eliot, Walt Whitman, Phillip Larkin and maybe if I understood French better, Baudelaire (but he's already masterful even in the translations).
TV&Movies: F.R.I.E.N.D.S, Girls (HBO), HIMYM. I love film noir, old Hong Kong films & hate myself for loving Woody Allen films (v.debatable). Amelie and anything made by Richard Linklater, Sophia Coppola or Wes Anderson.
Music: Chopin. Lorde. The Smiths. . Sonic Youth. The Rolling Stones. The XX. I'm not so much of a music snob as I am a book snob hahaha I listen to anything as long as it ain't heavy metal, techno or really noisy kinds. The Eagles, Blur, Oasis or even Miley Cyrus I'm fine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I survived 17 days in Cambodia with food poisoning. go figure.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn more about the world, the people and their ways of life because one day, I hope I can share my art with them and we are able to connect through it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My knowledge of the KUWTK (kidding!), but I can share with hosts my knowledge of Asia (believe it or not, most people don't really know much..Singapore is not part of China!), love for literature, pop culture and politics AND TECHNOLOGY.
