Hello there!

I am a 23 year old student from Koper, Slovenia (you probably already know all of this from the 'overview' section, but I have no idea how to introduce myself without mentioning the basics).

Unfortunately I am not able to host right now because I am in school away from home and I cannot host in my current town because my dorm is tiny.

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I am on Couchsurfing because I am lucky enough to live in a wonderful town on the Slovenian coast and I like sharing my favorite bits of it with tourists by taking them on a tour, showing them my favorite restaurants and bars, sharing my knowledge of the town's history (if interested, of course. I am quite positive not everybody is a history nerd) and just helping them get around.

I believe there are people willing to do the same all around the world and could someday help me get around and show me their favorite parts of their cities if I ever visited.

Interessen

Books, more books and even more books - I like reading a lot. I am also interested in sports (volleyball, running, hiking, cycling, etc). Cooking and baking are on the list too, which my flatmates in college are really thankful for ;) I like learning about new things; no matter what they are (languages, cuisine, cultures, cities, countries,...) it all so fascinating, how different two places can be.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: This is always the hardest question. I have no idea, I listen to it all!

Movies: Schindler's list, The pianist, It's a wonderful life. I also enjoy chick flicks and comedies to be completely honest ;)

Books: I like all kinds of books from classics to YA dystopian novels , but my favorite of all times is the Little Prince. I know it is a children's book, but one with a very powerful message. Speaking about books for children/youth, I am a huge Harry Potter fan, still (I don't think it ever goes away).

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Worked at a summer camp in Connecticut and took care of the most amazing group of girls, who taught me so much about life despite being young and in the middle of their teenage years :)

Lehren, lernen, teilen

Teach: how beautiful and worth a visit my country is. I can teach my host or people I am hosting to prepare some traditional Slovenian food (although I live by the Italian boarder and basically live on pasta, pizza, Nutella and all the Italian goodies). I can also teach you some great serbo-croatian swear words that could help you if you ever got into a fight with a person from Balkan :)

Learn: I love learning about other cultures, traditions, holidays, cuisine (can you already tell I am a foodie?), so anyone I am hosting, or anyone who hosts me, could teach me a lot and I would be forever grateful.
